Task assigned is to re-design an ornamental landscape feature on a traffic round-about for the entrance of a large urban planning development project. 

​

Concept is to create a " Landmark " that represented the urban development " De Centrum ". The site is adjacent to a major highway, so the previous landscape feature was scraped off for a 10 meter vertical landscape wall. The new wall height combined with a logo signage of De Centrum is nore more visible from the highway for all drivers. 

​

The area lacks shade and protection from rain and heat. It is next to a shopping mall and walking distance to a bus stop, which means lots of pedestrians walk through the area. Hence the landscape wall is equipped with a large tiered water feature and the plantation of new trees to help shade the area and cool it down for pedestrians. This water feature will also help draw more attention to the landmark as well as act as a welcoming feature.
